Good work deserves a good website.

I’m Matt Winter, an independent website builder in Michigan. I build focused, mobile-friendly websites that explain your business and make the next step easy. Here’s work you can open, explore, and try for yourself.

Take a closer look.

Two different projects, from a small-business website concept to an interactive software product. These are independent projects—not paid-client case studies.

The same fictional lawn-care concept arranged for a narrow phone screen.
Actual desktop and phone-layout captures of the concept.

Alder & Field

Fictional business · Website concept

A calm, distinctive home for a lawn-care business. Original illustration, a focused service menu, and a guided request preview make the next step clear.

  • Explore the service-to-request journey.
  • Try sample details, then edit or clear the preview.
  • Compare the desktop and phone layouts.
Open the working concept

Fictional portfolio example, not work for a real client. The request preview does not send messages, store information, or book services.

Actual Profit Pulse desktop demo showing its sample inventory dashboard, age breakdown and synthetic metrics.
Actual phone-sized Profit Pulse demo with the 90-plus-day inventory filter selected.
Real interface captures. Every figure shown is synthetic demo data, not business earnings.

Profit Pulse

Self-directed product · Interactive demo

A resale-tracking interface that turns inventory, age, and profit information into a readable workspace. A different kind of project, with useful interaction behind the design.

  • Explore a clearly labeled sample dashboard.
  • Open the 90+ day inventory view and filters.
  • Try the navigation on a smaller screen.
Explore the product demo

Synthetic sample data. Demo changes are not saved. The product uses manual entry or normalized CSV; marketplace accounts are not connected or automatically synchronized.

A small website.
A clear agreement.

My starting offer is a focused informational website for a small business. We shape it around what your customers need to know and how they should reach you.

  • A considered layout for phone and desktop.
  • Your services, approved photos, and useful business information.
  • Clear links to your own email address or phone number.

Booking, ecommerce, payments, CRM integrations, live contact forms, and ongoing maintenance are not included in this basic scope. Those needs must be identified before accepting a project.

  1. Start with the brief.

Your business, audience, current site, content, and budget. We check the fit before a quote or start date.

  2. Put the details in writing.

Pages, revisions, price, hosting and domain costs, payment terms, source-file handoff, and support boundaries.

  3. Build, review, and hand off.

A focused build, careful review, and browser testing. You review the website against our agreed scope before handoff.

A few things
worth knowing.

Clear expectations are part of a good working relationship.

Who will I work with?

I’m Matt Winter, based in Michigan. Blue Water Business Co. is my independent website-building work. We can begin the project discussion by email.

Are the examples client projects?

The lawn-care site is a fictional business concept. Profit Pulse is a self-directed software product with synthetic demo records. They show actual interface and interaction work, not paid-client results or testimonials.

How do pricing and ownership work?

A written scope and price come after we understand the project. Hosting, domain costs, revisions, source-file handoff, and any ongoing responsibilities are discussed before work is accepted. There is no checkout or payment form on this page.

How is the website checked before handoff?

The work is reviewed and tested in the browser against the agreed scope, including phone layouts and key interactions. You review it before handoff. The demos let you inspect specific work rather than rely on a broad promise. I do not guarantee sales or search rankings.

Have a website
in mind?

Send me your business, your current site if you have one, and the main thing visitors should be able to do. I’ll check the fit before proposing a scope, price, or start date.
